This project is much more difficult than I had originally expected it to be. However, I intend to continue planning fundraisers with my partner. With the help of some fast food restaurants we want to raise money for our final donation to the organization called CELF. From there all of the money will go to students in Kenya who do not have access to clean, parasite free water. We did face a setback this previous weekend when we realized we needed to plan in depth exactly which fast food restaurants we should ask to help with our project. If we can get approvals from places such as Chik Fil A and McDonalds, then I believe we will be able to take a big step towards our goal of raising near $500. We recently contacted Chik Fil A so we'll go in to discuss our project and how they can be a part of it. Hopefully, they'll be able to donate a certain amount of profits towards our project and if not we have several other places that we can visit. But of course the restaurants is just one idea we have. Another plan we have is to buy chocolate from, World's Finest Chocolate, made specifically for fundraisers and try to sell as many as possible. Not only at West Ranch, but I want to also get my little sister and her friends to sell them at Rancho Pico Junior High. Another place to sell the chocolate is Waller's GymJam where she trains for gymnastics and where there are many parents who would be willing to support our project. . Life Straws are gaining more and media attention as I've noticed because it's such a great use of technology. It's funny actually, I went on to Youtube to watch a video and a commercial for Life Straws came on. It's great that through that ad people can learn about this amazing invention. Overall my partner and I are still excited to see what we can do with this project. We'll continue to think of more mini projects to aid this project because it'll have an impact in the end even if it's small.
